The Colorado Constitution allows voters to recall any official who breaches trust. The law empowers citizens to hold their elected representatives accountable and express dissatisfaction with their performance
The Recall Process Involves:

Gathering a specific number of signatures from Montrose County voters on a petition within a set time frame. We need 4,540 valid Montrose County voter signatures. It's a simple, achievable goal.

The signatures are then submitted to Montrose County election officials to verify validity and sufficiency.

When enough valid signatures are collected, a recall election will be scheduled for November 4, 2025. Voters will then vote YES to recall Scott Mijares as county commissioner.

Give voters a choice. This petition gets the recall on the ballot. You must still vote YES to recall Scott Mijares, and deliver or mail your ballot by November 4, 2025. Ask your friends, family, and neighbors to sign the petition to help us reach our signature goal.
